Biography
Mr. Giambona was born and raised in the East Bay. Mr. Giambona graduated with Honors in Psychology and Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and was a member of the National Psychology Honor Society and the National Sociology Honor Society. Mr. Giambona next earned a Masters of Arts in Education with a focus on conducting research in the field of special education disabilities risk studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Mr. Giambona graduated with his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he was awarded the Percy E. Towne Scholarship based upon his academic achievement. Mr. Giambona was a member of La Raza Student Association and was a representative of the Associated Students of UC Hastings during his final year of law school.
During law school, Mr. Giambona began his path to becoming a successful trial attorney with internships at the Contra Costa County Public Defender, the San Francisco County Public Defender, and the Marin County Public Defender. After graduating, Mr. Giambona worked at the Contra Costa County Public Defender as a graduate law clerk and then as a research attorney on a capital murder case. Mr. Giambona joined the Solano County Public Defender in 2012 and spent over six years as a trial attorney handling violent and serious felonies, misdemeanors, juvenile cases, drug court, parole court, child support, and conservatorships. Mr. Giambona has tried nearly 40 cases to jury verdict with numerous not guilty verdicts and dismissals during trial.
Mr. Giambona is currently the Vice President of the Solano County Bar Association and will be President in 2023.
